Treasurer’s Report
Morris reported a current balance of $6,806.77.
Medicaid Update
Attempts continue to be made to open the door for LMFTs receiving Medicaid reimbursement.
Fall Conference
Doug Flemons will present Therapeutic Quickies, A Brief Approach to Sex Therapy on October 26, 2007. The Board of Counselor Examiners have authorized 6.25 CEUs. Mona Wade and Stacy Dixon volunteered to take care of the CEUs, Morris Patzlaff and Ann Marie Rossing will be at the registration table, Bobbi Rysdon and Susie VanDyke will sell books, and Lori Williamson offered to help put conference folders together. An opportunity for those interested could join Ann Marie and Mr. for dinner Thursday evening.
Cookie Day
Cookie Day will be held on February 4, 2008.
Practice Law Update
Mary Guth reported that LMFTs do not have a practice law. The Board of Counselor of Counselor Examiners suggested that we develop a practice law next year. We will propose that LMFTs be added to the board name. Mona Wade suggested we apply for monies from AAMFT to help build a practice law. A committee was developed to focus on these issues: Kathy Sazama, Bobbi Rysdon, Dan Digatono and Erick Reiss.
Newsletter
Mona Wade has asked to step down from being responsible for the newsletter. Stacy Dixon and Ann Marie will take over this responsibility. Mona will train and assist with the transition. Ann Marie will request Larry Porter’s assistance. There was discussion on posting job opportunities on our website – all agreed. We will continue to explore options to add to the website.
