DAKOTACARE
Chad Roggow, a Provider Relations representative spoke about the LMFT vendorship. Dawn Wolf works in credentialing. Several questions were addressed: "what are our limitations about working with clients," "what diagnoses are covered," "how can we be recognized by employers that have preexisting plans for their employees" and "what kind of supporting documentation does DAKOTACARE need from LFMTs," etc. Regarding preexisting plans, he will check into the possibility of writing an addendum for a policy. Chad suggested that DAKOTACARE will review on a case by case situation but are more than willing to work with LMFTs. They will send out a provider newsletter that will offer additional information. A suggestion was made to develop a round-table discussion to help with policy needs. This will be discussed further.
Treasurer’s Report
A report was not available. Ann Marie Rossing reported and approximate balance of $5,000.
Spring Leadership Update
Dan Diagatono will be unable to attend – Ann Marie Rossing will be going. Two major issues will be addressed: Medicare/Medicaid and MFTs in Schools.
Cookie Day in Pierre, February 9, 2007
There was a discussion about updating our brochure – all agreed. Mary Guth suggested contacting Larry Porter – no decision made at this point.
We will discuss the newsletter next meeting. All are to think about possible articles.
