Treasurer’s Report
Discussed the need to increase Division dues. It was moved and seconded that the dues remain the same and to explore this issue for next year. Morris requested permission to purchase Quick Books for Treasures work – ($20). A motion was made and approved by all. Current balance - $2,223.31.
Newsletter Update
This continues to be a work in progress.
Cookie Day
Cookie Day will be held on February 7, 2007. Ann Marie will attend. Susie expressed an interest in participating.
Practice Bill
There continues to be controversy regarding if we have a Practice Bill. The Dept. of Mental Health will take it to legislation.
DAKOTACARE Update
The oversight committee agrees that licensed MFT’s should be covered by Medicare. We are hoping for a decision by fall. Dan suggested we contact DAKOTACARE to provide an in-service to educate us on properly producing case notes.
Fall Conference
The conference will be held on October 27, 2006 at the Orthopedic Center in Sioux Falls. Craig Nokken is our guest speaker – Reclaiming Your Family After Addiction. Mary agreed to contact HyVee regarding refreshments. Kathy will make the hotel reservation and provide Mr. Nokken with directions and information. Ann Marie will purchase a thank you gift. Morris has agreed to contact the Chamber of Commerce for speaker handouts. Morris and Pam will handle the registration table. Mary will take care of the CEU Certificates.
